how often do you install audio a month?
is it profitable to sell electronics for cars?

I haven't done an install in almost a year

I would say no..It's a real small hobby in the realm of things

Perfect timing for this post! I want to install a Sirius/XM radio in my car. I know my other car has an antennae on the top. So, if I get one do I need an antennae rig too? Do you recommend a model?

I have a 2013 Ford F150 FX4 with everything stock except a remote control tonneau cover. I'd like to put in a system that sounds good without having to blast my radio. I don't need my truck to rattle, i'd prefer if it didn't. I'm going to have 1 or two car seats in the back so I don't want to blast my kid's eardrums out. I'm willing to spend up to $1500 but if the quality to cost point is somewhere beneath that send me in that direction.

I'd also like the road noise to be a little more quiet so factor that into the equation too. Any advise on a set up?

:patrice: I notice you mention this amp a couple times. Not sayin you dnt know ya shyt but the negative reviews always hold an element of truth. So if multiple ppl complains about it workin "great" or the remotes etc bein defective then?

Kicker - CX-Series CX300.4 600W Class AB Bridgeable Multichannel Amplifier with Built-In Crossovers - Black
Would this work?

The build quality on some of the items are subpar

For example, the gain knobs are a little tricky and very fragile. The screw down terminals are positioned pretty shytty also. The company gotta keep product costs low somehow, but performance wise, they're A1. A lot of car audio competitors use these amps with success.

Is this $1500 for just product?

If you want a quiet ride, sound deadening is a must. Doors, wheel wells, and floor are where the majority of your noise will come from.

You would def to up your budget if you want to sound deaden properly + change everything else out.
