I've never cheated and have no intentions of cheating.... Having said that, I haven't had enough relationships or attention in my lifetime to warrant cheating. I'm not greedy because I usually don't want anything unless I truly desire it. It's quality over quantity. The only way I would cheat is if a female did me so cold that it would trigger that type of response. In all of my relationships, I have just written the female off like a tax break.
:salute:

Whoa there.:whoa:

All I meant was that those things make you the quintessential male, period. Manliness is the same no matter what the race. What makes you the quintessential black male? "Quintessential black male" implies that there is a unique variation(other than color) in the black male experience, that you wouldn't find for example in the white male or arab male or asian male experience, and that you personally embody that variation(hence quintessential).

Stop being so quick to take offense.

That came off as strong, but that response wasn't in a defensive tone, even though the use of ****** and monkey made it seem like it was.

The short answer to your question.... yes....

what is one book that you would say had you thinking in a differently format?
what is one thing you own of sentimental value?

The book...... The Mis-Education of the Negro by Dr. Carter G. Woodson. I'll honestly admit that I've never been an avid reader in my lifetime. As a result, I have suffered. At this moment, I'm trying to undo a lot of this "nikka" programming that I've obtained and wean myself from things are killing my attention span... two reasons why I don't read much. I think a good resolution for next year is to read at least one book per month. Like I mentioned previously, my quest to become a "quintessential black male" is an everyday mission of self-improvement. I'm not an idiot by any means, however, I'm not as intelligent as I can or should be. This book is a first step towards re-sharpening my mind and undoing "ghetto" programming.

The one thing of sentimental value...... I had to think long and hard about this because towards inanimate things, I'm not very sentimental. I would say a TV that my grandmother bought me before her health seriously deteriorated and then her, eventually dying. I spent more of my childhood with her than I actually did with my parents between school and church. That means more than the TV.
