...its common knowledge theres American Chinese food and authentic Chinese food.
Both are good.

They serve the US - MSG, high sodium, sugar, fried dishes which appeal to the obese Americans

I once said in a Chinese restaurant to the chef: "I ain't eating anything, until you eat what you cooked in front of me FIRST."

I was screamed at and was pretty much booted from the place. That was in 2001 and following my parents advice, I never bought or ate Chinese food since.

Like she said, go where Asians eat, especially older folks. They usually have a "yellow" menu with authentic dishes for those who know.
