She could be talking about asians handing out restaurant flyers for all we know, theres no conflict of interest there. Most storefronts simply post up a non solicitation sign on their door... Various city laws won't even allow you to stand outside a competing business and hand out flyers.

Son, no disrespect, but you from Toronto. I'm actually in NY and I will tell you, there is no such honor among thieves here. Muhfukkas will walk right into your shop, advertising the exact same service for $5 cheaper. I'm outchea. I would not lie.

I'm telling you that these things can be handles thru legal recourse. there is answers to all this. just cuz people do it doesn't mean that it's allowed or can't be stopped. thats all If you gonna be involved in business at least go all the way and learn how to protect your investment.

I'm not saying it can't be stopped. I'm saying that there is a culture in this city that says, other shop owners are allowed to advertise in others' shops. I literally spent my entire youth in Dominican hair salons (well, it felt like it). You can be sitting under the dryer and order food, mixtapes, hand crafted jewelry, all kinda shyt. [edit: I have ordered and received Nutcrackers while under the dryer (ask somebody).] That's NYC.

Those were just examples I've seen irl. In the vid, she literally said competing businesses advertise in her shop. I have literally been in one restaurant and seen a stack of menus for other restaurants by the cash register. I have no reason to lie about this, breh.

when i used to date my first and only real boyfriend he was obsessed with me getting manis and pedis. id never spend my money on it and told him if thats what he wanted then he would have to pay. his dumbass actually willingly threw that money away even though i didnt like it, just to flex to his boys or whatever. shyt is just an epic waste of money. if you spend $40 every other weekend after a year that $1000 wasted

and yeah, black salons charge as much bc as americans, we have a standard of living that a lot of immigrant families dont adhere to ie. a black worker will want their own apartment or atleast a decent apartment with 1-2 roommates and a decent commute with enough to pay for a single persons lunch and dinner while an immigrant will live in a community/family house and carpool in together from new jersey and share meals from last nights leftovers at the fam dinner

We have black barberhops here on the ave combined with salons... problem is there's little to no exposure plus people don't go far to get their hair done... there's too many asian shops in the middle and not enough of us there...

We can change the game but we have to stay on code... Now more than ever...
