“ I get get my dikk licked red bone complexion like a piglet” :why:

Man Rocky need to shut his ass up. If Krit, Cole, Kendrick, etc. said this it’d be different but this is the wrong messager fasho

I see people clowning Rocky’s style of rap but I think you guys are missing the point. He’s saying he and everyone else has to rap like that to be commercially successful due to Soulja Boy’s impact on the culture. He’s probably trying to explain why his attempt to be progressive flopped (Testing) and he’s tracing the game’s obsession with kiddie rap back to Soulja

I mean it's obvious that mainstream rap is in a slump content wise, but asap is the wrong messenger. It's like if the rap game favored off beat rappers, and lil b called it out. like he's right, but he contributed to the problem. But then again i don't really care anymore I've reached out to other genres if i wanted something other than the whole "bytches, money and swag" trope.

Testing flopped because it was a terrible album.

To really prove Rocky’s point, you have to look at the types of singles that came out after Crank That blew up

The list really goes on. This shyt’s a far cry from Ross, Jeezy, TI first singles. The south was already eating but Soulja set the tone for really remedial, juvenile TikTok type dance songs and the trend never went away

Charles Hamilton said the same thing about Soulja Boy around 2008, that Interscope wasn’t trying to let you drop unless you had a comedy/dance song

DFL with laffy taffy and dem franchise boyz came out years before soulja boy. The south had already made rap remedial by the time soulja came out. And crank dat was a dance song like macarena. People never viewed it as a "real" rap song

conquering north korea for nice tight asian p*ssy
Everytime rocky tries to make a song that isn’t about his usual bullshyt he sounds like a teenager who thinks he’s some deep writer. That’s how you get bullshyt like testing that he somehow thought was new and experimental :dead:

Imagine listening to this fool on anything. There’s also that Oxnard interview or wherever it was when they ask him about the protests and he starts rapping one of his lame ass songs like it means something

Dudes a fukking imbecile.
