Clearly you didn't read what I posted, because you would understand the underlying implication is that the US government recognizes that everyone has rights, and the BoR explicitly protects those rights from being trampled by the US government. That would include non-citizens, seeing that its a restriction on government, not a giving of privelege to citizens.Clearly you didn't read the post. 14th Amendment. Bill of rights are the first 10. Even still that wasn't enough and as you saw from my quote in OP it required the Supreme Court to confirm that interpretation.
While what you say is correct that the Bill. Of Rights only offers protections, based on the 14th amendment and subsequent cases illegal immigrants (among other groups) are afforded the rights to our constitutional protections.
