If you pretty, you pretty. And if you ugly, you ugly.

Jill Marie Jones is dark skin and she's one of the prettier girls in this photo. Tracee Eliss Ross is lightskin and well...she's not one of the pretty ones :skip:

the amount of times i see people on here and in real life talk bad about black women but praise mixed women due to there lighter complexion is ridiculous. and a form of self hate. lets do better, if you wanna date outside your race n go with a mixed woman cool more power to you but don't have to put down black women.

i agree...how many times do you see a black woman being praised as a dime on here? its sad

Black men and black women do this. Black men just get put on blast for doing it moreso than black women because black women are more sensitive about measures of beauty since women are judged more harshly for their looks. Not to mention, dark skin is "in" at the current moment in the black community, so its cool to talk about "chocolate" this and that. However, that is simply vanity.

Unfortunately, colorism is still a underlying issue amongst BOTH black men and black women. Until black people learn to fall in love with being black, looking black and finding the beauty of the black people around them, then this topic will continue on...with both the men and the women.

Peace

its not colorism its racism

if a mixed people is racist to a black person its racism and vice versa, no such thing as colourism

nikkaz are programmed to elevate mixed/ redbone/ light skinned bytches over darker complexion honeys. Through movies, TV, magazines, media etc. shyts been goin on for generations.

All hip hop videos show is white, Latino, mixed lookin hos like true sistaz are played out lol

It's no coincidence that the top famous celebrity "black chiks" are Halle berry , beyonce, Rihanna, Nikki minaj, ... What do all these hos have in common?

You look at how fine smart beautiful and classy Michelle Obama is and at the president inauguration all everybody was talkin about was "did you see beyonce"
at least somebody see's what I'm saying

beauty is subjective tho :patrice:

but typically on here dark-skinned women get shyt on

Nobody in their right mind gonna turn down a beautiful brown/darkskin woman for a less attractive lightskin girl.

Gabrielle Union:hula: Tracee Ellis Ross

Which one would you pick? :skip:

Pretty is pretty. Ugly is ugly. It's always the b*tches that look like Whoopi Goldberg crying about lightskin girls. That they don't receive the same attention because they're dark. No b*tch. It's because you ugly. If you looked like Kerry Rowland, you'd be beating nikkas off you.

How would a mixed person be racist towards a black person? Racism is a group dynamic where one race, who has resources and power, imposes their will on another race to the detriment of said race. From what I've seen, I don't see this kind of dynamic going on between mixed and black people in America.

Do you mean a mixed person being prejudice against a black person? Also, what does your statement have to with my post? I didn't mention a mixed person doing anything against a black person.

Peace
