There hasn't been any mainstream star since Steph.
People talk about how the regular season was devalued but postseason ratings have been down as well.
It's not "superteams" because the league historical has done it's best ratings when there's been 1 or 2 teams killing the competition (90's Bulls, Laker 3-Peat, Cavs/Warriors)
Casual fans dont care about play styles, but they know names. They don't really tune in to see "teams" play, but if they heard Jordan, LeBron, Kobe/Shaq, Curry was on TV they know those names so they become more inclined to tune in.
Jokic, Luka, Tatum, Giannis, etc.....all these guys are great but they haven't transcended into pop culture like the aforementioned guys I named.
