Ok..let's look at this..as a group

Best of the best albums

E.1999 >>>> enter the 36 chambers

Lets compare the double albums

Art of war >>>> wu forever

Let's compare rappers:

Krayzie and bizzy bone>>>>>>any rapper in the wu

What about popularity at the height of their success and albums sold and Grammys won:

Bone thugs>>>>>>wu tang

What about side projects :

Mo thugs >>>>>any wu affiliates

What about hooks:

Bone thugs>>>>wu tang

Let's look at talent and skills(double time rhymes and singing)

Bone THUGZ >>>>wu tang

The only thing wu has bone beat on is solo albums....

BONE THUGZ WINS THIS

are we seriously using this card?

bone thugs were known before they came out?

we gonna act like eazy-e wasnt semi-blackballed at the time?

we gonna act like wutang didnt have their own primetime mtv special before their album even started selling?

we gonna act like wutang didnt have alot more promotion, exposure & propaganda behind them than bone thugs?

we gonna act like bone thugs werent getting slighted by the media their whole career? the same media that worshipped wutang?

bone thugs were the ones at disadvantage in this race buddy. AND THEY STILL WON.

I'm not in a position to judge E 1999 - but people need to stop acting like OBFCL2 isn't an elite album.

BUT IT'S NOT

that shyt aint on the level of

MATW,RTD,DOGGYSTYLE,BP1,DEATH CERTIFICATE etc. shyt is so so. half wack beats, mush mouth repetitive flows, just amateurish :piss:

I love Bone Thugs and Wu-Tang equally and I remember this argument use to go on even when I saw in Jr School.

All I'll say is it depends completley on your regionalsim preference to Hip Hop for who you think is doper.

From my experience: East Coast/Europe/Japan heads mess with Wu, West Coast/Midwest/South/Middle East (its a long story lol) probably like Bone.

Wu have probably preserved their legacy better and have a legitamite one, but Bone Thugs always has a noted influence that hasnt been credited enough.

True that it ain't on the level of the albums you listed (although BP1 doesn't belong on that list). That doesnt mean it ain't elite.

List the beats you think are wack. I might agree with a few. It's not a perfect album.

Mush Mouth flows? Really? In a thread with Bone being discussed? The kings of "what did he say"?

Heavens Movie is plat, i dont know where you got the others from. thats the only gold or plat bone solo

Thug Mentality went platinum (it was a double disc so it only had to sell 500,000) and Flesh N Bone's debut went gold, though it was really close to platinum like ten years ago and maybe it eventually got there, but I doubt Def Jam would ever pay to certify it. For what it's worth Heaven's Movie only shows on the RIAA site as going gold, but it was certified a month after release so if it went gold in a month, it probably went platinum by now.

Search for Bone thugs in their database. You'll get about six pages of results with all kinds of crap that isn't Bone related like James Boney but it'll be there. Thug Mentality is on page 3 of the results along with Heaven'z Movie. T.H.U.G.S. is on page 4.

Whats funny? That forever album is trash. One of the wackest double albums ever.

:comeon: Raekwon's got a wack flow now? Explain that for me...

Forever was a great album, bloated and definitely not a classic - but a lot of amazing tracks on there. Listen to it again, I recently put a few songs from it on a Ghostface discography 2 volume mp3 cd I made and the Forever tracks just sound amazing.

When you gonna up the links for 400 degreez and the Hot Boyz first two albums? My No Limit/CMR mp3 cd ain't gonna be as nice without them. In fact, right now its just shaping up to be a No Limit mp3 cd...
