And that's the shyt that pisses me off. These so called pro black brothers are constantly telling us how we are brainwashed and don't know what we are voting for. Basically just stereotyping us as idiots and followers. It's an insult to our parents and grandparents who shared the views of the democratic party and have seen the effect of their policies over the years. It is not wrong to talk about how the black community should explore our options an examine things more closely but it's totally fukked up to resort to racist right wing ideology such as we don't know what's best for us. People like that don't even take into account the racism the republican party has been known for and the real life experiences they have faced in life. Naw forget all that, black people are just sheep. If you watched Fox News for a day, you would realize why for one we do not feel wanting in the republican party. Then you have the black libertarians, the party who would have been against the end of slavery but try to ignore the historical context because they are the so called new school black person. I can tell alot of posters who abide by that bullshyt mind frame, have either a white girlfriend, grew up with a lot of white people or have tons of white friends. This is truly sad to me.

Just want to say that I understand where your coming from, but I don't know if a third party is the best solution.

If 14% of the country voted third party, yes there would be some changes. The Democrats would be completely unable to compete with the Republicans, and possibly all branches of our government would be conservative .... for at least a term ... who knows what the long term effects would be. The Dems might promise some stuff to try to persuade blacks to come back in the short term, but it'd eventually go back to the status quo. The fact of the matter is, no third party could hope to compete, and frankly, I don't want to imagine an America completely controlled by the Republican Party.
