Any chance that we can have a English referee in the final? I think this will be better

Can't believe I'm saying this, Jordan Henderson needs to start the final. Phillips and Rice are going to get bullied out there.

Meanwhile England still bytching about Maradona's handball 35 years later, the hypocrisy

If Denmark had got a penalty like that there would be a Scotland Yard investigation :mjlol:
I don’t bytch about it:hubie:

If you can get away with ‘cheating’ and help your team win i’m all for it.:mjlit:

Hope Raheem dives again even more blatantly on Sunday:blessed:

No shame eh :heh:
It’s a pretty widely held outlook on football in places like Spain, Italy, South America etc

It’s only really England who get on their high horses about this sort of thing. It’s also why we used to get finessed by teams/nations who employ the dark arts.

I hope we go 1-0 up after 5 mins from a penalty after Sterling dives then shythouse the rest of the game, start wasting time from then on:wow:

Yeh there’s a bit of hypocrisy when everyone was loving up Italy’s time wasting against Belgium with fake injuries as they do (smartly I may add) but when England exploit the rules and the refs everyone hating.

It’s not Sterling’s fault. He felt contact and went down. Up to ref and VAR to make the right judgement

How is it hypocrisy when it's mainly been (at least what I've seen around the internet) pointing out the hypocrisy of English fans and tv personalities being "disgusted" by Italian diving and faking injuries.

Also keep it 100, when it comes to an average football fan, he or she is more likely to say that Italians/south Americans/Spanish are the ones who fake injuries and dive/cheat.

When in reality/what I've seen most people with a brain say, it's that everyone cheats and tries to gain an advantage, only the English are acting like they're above it.

Edit. Also, I agree that it's not Sterling's "fault" & Kane does it more than Sterling. I

Yeah not really blaming Sterling at all, at that stage of the match and competition if you feel a nudge in the box then you're gonna go down, all part of the game. What was sloppy was that VAR didnt even tell the ref to double check the decision on the monitor and that the play had been allowed to continue even after Sterling had dribbled 5 yards past an extra ball on the pitch.

The BBC/ITV constantly complaining about bad refereeing calls and then acting almost smug when this one went their way and the fans with their "who gives a fukk" attitude when you know if this had gone the other way how much outrage there would be :francis:

Anyway, England vs Italy is the way better final either way. Should be a great match
