Yeah not really blaming Sterling at all, at that stage of the match and competition if you feel a nudge in the box then you're gonna go down, all part of the game. What was sloppy was that VAR didnt even tell the ref to double check the decision on the monitor and that the play had been allowed to continue even after Sterling had dribbled 5 yards past an extra ball on the pitch.

The BBC/ITV constantly complaining about bad refereeing calls and then acting almost smug when this one went their way and the fans with their "who gives a fukk" attitude when you know if this had gone the other way how much outrage there would be

Anyway, England vs Italy is the way better final either way. Should be a great match

It’s a pretty widely held outlook on football in places like Spain, Italy, South America etc

It’s only really England who get on their high horses about this sort of thing. It’s also why we used to get finessed by teams/nations who employ the dark arts.
