What can I say... My pops raised me on this squad.... As much as I think about throwing up my hands and walking away, I can't do it. I love the blue and orange. I'll watch games. I'll get drawn in. It's what I do, it's how I get down. I heard Joe and Evan say today that a scout said that Thor reminded him of "a 19 year old Dwight Gooden" :ohhh::gladbron::lupe:... I know I should :whoa: but hey, stuff like this gets me amped. They still gotta show me how they plan on scoring runs, though.

Don't forget Mejia, although the talk is that they gonna try and slide Yung Pedro into the bullpen. Niese gets a spot by default cause he's the only lefty.
I rather watch Mejia than trash like Lannan or Dice K. My only worry with Mejia is the fact he has never thrown a lot of innings in any year of professional ball.

83 wins, over .500! They have a stretch in July that has people wondering if they can't win that coveted 2nd wild card spot!

Few bulletpoints...

  • Granderson isn't very good, but such a likable guy, people overlook it
  • Same goes for EYJr. who gets too much playing time and becomes the new Francouer as he's a good dude who fans love... but isn't as good as Granderson, so he becomes whipping boy
  • Niese proves himself our 5th starter going forward
  • d'Arnaud is vastley overrated and we learn he had nagging injuries all season... but it's cool homey, he's a catcher.
  • Murph continues to be a pretty damn solid major leaguer and sticks around
  • Chris Young is actually decent and dealt ala Marlon Byrd
  • Harvey suffers a set back b/c he's kind of a bullish prick and ruins any slim chance of coming back in 2014
  • Wheeler replecates his season but lowers his whip, thus making him a beast going forward
  • Colon lands on the DL... the DL subsequently lands on the DL
  • Terry sucks, and is gone next season when they're finally ready to step into contention
  • Ike is dealt by April, and we regret it
  • I seriously do not care anymore about what I'm writing
  • Farnsworth and Valverde aren't good in ST but make the roster b/c lets be real, "veterans!" We hate them both all season. A guy like Vic Black or Josh Edgin become a lockdown reliever
  • Mejia or Montero, only one, become a reliable starter going forward. The other is dealt.
  • Syndegaard comes up at the break and is our new Harvey... and this upsets Harvey
  • I legitimately don't give a fukk about our SS no matter who our SS is. Wilmer hits all year in the minors but never gets a shot b/c his D is dogshyt.
  • Wright is Wright. Another AS pick, another great season with some returned power.
  • Lagares gets screwed and never gets a good chance to learn MLB pitching bc Terry is stupid

@Tommy Fits
Lagares is in center, and Young is in RF I believe.
I just hope the prospects play well, I'm not going to get excited when they're 32-28 by Memorial Day.

Wilpons better save up. Jeter's going away present better be expensive

Maybe that's why y'all ain't signing Drew :lolbron:
With the way attendance is going to be this season, they're be lucky if they could afford to give him one of the Pepsi launch t-shirts.

I called 85 wins and I'm stickin to it. :birdman:

Granderson will be fine .. but he wont put up Yankee numbers. But hey .. like you said .. he's a good guy. :comeon:

EY Jr. could flourish at Citi ... if he could only get on base.

I think Niese could be as high as a #3 starter for us. I think he makes a jump this year.

d'Arnaud is asscheeks. Just look at him. He smiles too much to ever be worth shyt.

Murph wont stick around cause they dont want him around. They just want to rape another organization on compensation.

Young sucks, and will to continue to suck to the tune of 8 million this year.

Agree 100% on Harvey .. and eventually, him, Wheeler and Thor will have a Penny/Shaq type of work relationship. Cause we're the Mets.

Wheeler cements his place as one of the top tier pitchers in the majors this year.

The only way Colon lands on the DL is for reverse malnutrition. i.e. over eating. It damn sure wont have anything to do with his rubber arm.

Terry sucks.

Ike turns it around this year and goes for .265 28 hr's 100 rbi.

I still care .. a little bit.

Farnsworth will retire before the season starts and Valverde will catch a dometic abuse charge and never suit up for us.

Mejia will be dealt. They dangle him a bit much for him to be here for the long run.

Syndergaard will have a Wheeler type debut and be ready to dominate next year.

Might aswell give Flores a shot at short and call it a year. fukk Tejada.

Wright is .. the face of MLB. :blessed:

Legares continues being the Rey Ordonez of center fielders.

Now, Lets go Mets. :sadcam:
