Around what year did you stop listening to "New" rap regularly?

Aside from a hot track here and there...

"New" in relative terms. The No Limit/Cash Money era could be considered new to some people just as the mumble rap genre.

2012

2012 sounds about right, because that was around the time that I thought the genre was going to evolve into something almost soulful, but in actuality it regressed to simping, tricking, and drug addiction lol

A little after "lean with it" came out
But I got back to it when A$AP Rocky, Drake, K.Dot, Joey Bada$$, and Odd Future was the top rosters of rap at the time, then when emo/soundcloud shyt came up, I stopped again.

2011 is the last year I recall listening to new rap and enjoying the music. It was getting bad though and I finally gave up I think in 2012.

There's much dope old shyt on YouTube that I don't even care about new music. You can listen to a random 90s underground compilation and find a gem
