Significant percentages of Levantine Arabs have ancestry that is shared with Jews as well as pre Jewish populations (since we can both acknowledge, that the Jews were not the first there). So that argument is irrelevant
As for the Arab state argument, the Europeans created those states. No one in Palestine asked for an independent Arab state, until the Europeans got involved. Frankly, the Meditarranean til the Euphrates is Syria anyways. Since the entire Arab world was carved up into separate states, you have left the remaining Palestinian Arabs no choice but to claim statehood. Thats the only alternative available.

You can't claim race if you have only a religious identity. Any one can become a Jew based off their ways of going to it but not everyone can become a Arab.
