I know HER is very visible on large mainstream stages but doesn't really sell much or move the needle culturally. Still, she gets regular work

When Ari signed that contract, there were enough books and online resources to keep her from signing that shyt. I'm sorry, but if you signed to a label after 2000s and got screwed with all of this info out here, you wanted to get screwed. No excuse for it. And there are still artists in 2024 signing fukked up deals.

This is exactly what I always think and say too, when artists come out publicly with these statements.

There's just too much information and resources out there to keep falling for the trickery in the music business now. They should all know better by now, if they do the work to be informed. But Dreamville as a boutique label is just sh*tty anyway. When they're not buying streams for their unknown artists, they're not paying or giving budgets to the others.

Cole been losing all damn year. He's finally starting to get exposed.

The label saw something fire and dropped the shyt. You got a nice voice but without them you are trash and they have given you enough advertisement. They don't want to over advertise and lose.
