That said, majors can only take an artist like her so far. You're either a Roc Nation girl, an IG girlie or a legacy act. It's hard for a B tier, but very talented girl like Ari, to get any further - without, you know, resorting to marketing yourself a certain way... She's doesn't really have the look for that sadly...

How many times has SZA gone off about label shyt over the last few years. Many times right? But SZA had and has hits, Ari doesn't. I listened to some of her new song and it sounds like a Janelle Monae. Similar throwback r&b vibes that just are not popping. I'm sorry but it's not a hit, it's more of the same thing that she's been doing. I'm not saying she should go against her artistry and imitate what everyone else is doing - 90s r&b samples, downtempo reverb "fukk that nikka" anthems, etc - but if you're gonna do your own shyt you have to understand you're not gonna be popping. Certainly not enough to get out of debt....

Also...sometimes you gotta play your position. In this case when you're a fringe artist on a major star's imprint label (via a major) you have to understand you will never be the priority. As they say in politics, you serve at the pleasure of the president. IE as long as Cole is keeping the lights on (and you're in good graces with him) you're going to be employed. If you have a hit record, the label will try to push it. If not, oh well at least you get an album release date lol.

I’m tripping off her going postal about ADS in 2024 when most music is promoted by the artists via social media. I can’t think of the last time I discovered music through an online ad.

She needs to focus on making the best music possible and catering to her base. The last album and the new single she dropped isn’t on par with her early work.

I think Ari needs to get the fukk away from the rap affiliated shyt and lean more into adult contemporary music. Whether it's Cole's dusty image or throwing her on tour with Rod Wave....

She isn't on some earthy hippy bohemian shyt like SZA or some tragic e-girl shyt like Doja that resonates in online spaces

She makes music that sounds like the stuff our parents loved. She's better suited to a HER type lane
