i feel where you coming from. it's like they take advantage on that shyt. and trust i done borrowed plenty of money from friends in the past. just gotta know whos good for it and who isn't. I'm not the type to sweat over money or nothing like that, but atleast have the decency to not forget about me. even if you can't pay it all back, just give something every so often so you still in good standing. banks don't mind if you pay a loan back over time. I've learned over time who you can loan to and who you can't. if they ain't doing much with their lives and not getting consistent money then it's less likely they pay you back, my brother like this and i always tell him i can't loan him, gotta learn on his own. even the ones who get money be on some fukk shyt if you helped them when they were broke. that's why i don't hang around certain friends as much as before and they wonder why. and just as worse are friends who just want to waste money on foolishness like trips to the casino or track. so i just chill at the crib for the most part so i can stack my bread and get my own spot one day. sometimes you get to that point where you ain't wanna deal with anyone else bs and just do you. your true friends know when to look out.

I think I'm a generally selfless person, I try and help others/those close to me but that's just how I was raised I've had to cut a few people out of my life that were in it simply for themselves but that's just another part of life itself breh

Saw this thread and knew it spoke to me. THis is the story of my life, me helping out folks and them not looking out for me when I'm fukked up. Over the years it has made me bitter and angry and turned me into a more sarcastic meaner person, yet for the few people who are in my inner circle I'm still the same kind hearted person I've always been despite the amount of shyt I talk and say.

And the reason I'm still the same way is because I truly believe I am a better person than a majority of these sorry ass muthafukkers walking the Earth who call themselves humans. Not saying I'm a humanitarian or nothing but I know who am I and while I have gained experience and the ability to say no to muthafukkers I don't believe you should let all these outside forces turn you into a deplorable shell of your former self.

If you do something for another person, it should be done out of the kindness of your heart, with no expectation of anything in return, IMO.

Recently I've dealt with a similar situation with my friend being the one who felt slighted. He admitted that he was wrong for expecting from others what he'd do, and in doing so he set himself up for disappointment. Maybe that's what you're feeling.

I realized a long time ago not to expect shyt from anyone. If your a giving person like me then thats just you, most people arent that way and I never expect them to be. If I pick up a friend who needs a ride or something I dont expect shyt back from them if I'm in the same circumstance. shyt I might not even bother asking them.

It can be frustrating when your looking out for people and it never seems anyones going and extra inch for you but that's just reality.
