sorry if its been asked, but i think the most wtf part is the beginning where the guy killed himself drinking something, does anybody know what's going on with that

overall i loved the movie

After watching the entire movie, I thought that was how they created humans on earth. All life requires water to survive, so he drank the liquid, fell into the waterfall and he spread life in his death.

I also took it as a reference to Christ. At communion you break the bread and drink wine, representing His body and blood. His body broke apart after he drank from that cup and his blood went everywhere in the water.

Personally, I thought the movie was great. It started off a little slow, but really picked up after the slow start. Unreal visuals, good performances from pretty much everyone in the cast. The story was intriguing and there were definitely some intense scenes and moments.

They obviously left the door wide open for a sequel, but I think they did it with most everything answered.

The Geologist was one of the worst-written characters. Dude studies rocks for a living and said "I'm only in it for the money." He's also the mapping expert, with those "pups," but couldn't use them to find his own way out of the structure.

Well, wouldn't that make sense as to why he's on Prometheus?

If everything went according to plan, they all would have been rich as fukk. Maybe just studying rocks wasn't getting the job done.

Pretty much how I feel about the movie. I didn't think it started off slow, though.

Fair enough- I just find the idea of a money-hungry geologist funny. You have work hard as hell to both get into/work that profession, and it's not known for paying well. Usually it's a job people do for the passion.

The Biologist was an idiot as well. What kind of biologist sees a snake/cobra-looking, completely alien creature, and walks right up to it and starts cooing and trying to pet it? And why would you be terrified of an alien environment one minute, and then lose your fear the moment you see an actual alien in that same environment?

It seems like they hired the dumbest scientists they could find. :smh:

It ain't general consensus breh. It's sitting at 74% on Rotten Tomatoes and the percentage of regular people on that site who liked it is even higher.

There's no doubt that it is polarizing but to say most people didn't enjoy the movie... eh.. I dunno about that.
They also have Haywire at 80% on there and that's one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life.

Haywire - Rotten Tomatoes

The critics on there bow down to Soderbergh.. and I think they did the same to Ridley Scott. I like Ridley too but he didn't come through with Prometheus

dude was kind of important. Could have tested it on someone else.

I don't really think any of the crew were important. I mean David could do everything. himself really. or he knew he'd bust a nut in that p*ssy and he's just evil.. that dude was talking shyt. right before too about him not. being a real human ..maybe he wanted him to experience not being human anymore
