I'm listen to this brilliant idiots podcast and the topic of why Mexicans don't get shine in the media. These nikkas was saying that we took lowrider culture and chopper suits from them and made them popular in mainstream.

ACTUALLY ALMOST ALL OF HIP HOP IS WEST COAST CHICANO MEXICAN. Lets look at some examples? Bloods and crips? When they first started out they were wearing leather jackets,fedoras and chains on their waists. They fell in line and dressed like the ESEs in the 1970s, after having done time with them in the juvis,pen. The vast majority of blacks into LA at that time were from the South. They had never dealt with Mexicans. But it wasnt but a few years after their arrival around Mexicans that they started mimicking the gangs signs, tattoo style, graffiti and clothing of West Coast Cholos Mexicans.

Now blacks can say Mexicans copy ? I dont know how.......since everytime I turn on the tube I see the tattoos my grandpapi wore worn by some kneegrow from the SOuth whom mind you has never met a Mexican_Chicano. Soldier Boy? Waka Flaka? Maino? none of these dudes grew up around Mexicans but their all covered in tattoos the SOCAL vatos invented.
