People been predicting fatigue for like 7 years. They were wrong. And all of their movies have made money and gotten good reviews. What trash you talking about?! I mean you not personally not liking something really doesn't mean anything.

Obviously there wasn't this much over-saturation 7 years ago....

amazing spiderman movies, xmen future past, xmen apocalypse, man of steel, batman vs superman, suicide squad, iron man2, ironman 3, thor 2, guardians 2, age of ultron were all rushed trash for easy money

supergirl, legends of tomorrow, agent carter, gotham, iron fist, defenders are all trash. Flash and arrow fell off and only continue now for syndication money

I'm not talking about bank that doesn't concern me, I don't get a dime from their success or lack there of. My primary concern is this movie worth my time? And from what I've seen so far it's a no. That's my perspective.

It's a formula that is making them bank sure at the moment but they keep sticking to the script, it's only so much trash one can keep putting out until audiences catch on.
Which is it man? Are 'people' sheep just following what's hot or are they independent thinkers about to catch on to a formula?
Watch what you like, but I see you just watched Spiderman so maybe a part of you want to be a part of the current zeitgeist? Marvel is almost at 20 movies and even you still watch and haven't 'caught on' yet. Don't judge others so harshly.

If there wasn't this much saturation why'd they make the prediction? You can keep calling it trash but what's out there better? I'm waiting.

When it comes to Marvel I have reservations and pre conceived notions given their track record and watching the trailers I can see how the movie unfolds but wanted to give Spiderman a chance since I like the character but it was unfortunately as I expected.
I expect with the over saturation and no real quality to boot, like everything people will move on. Some faster than others, I expect every movie dropping in the box office compared to its predecessor and there won't be another one that crosses the billion mark.

The movies that I am excited for is Panther and Batman, it's a shame DC are going the Marvel route with the Justice League.

I'd say no. Usually the Golden Age of anything is connected to quality, impact, and quantity. Like we're in the Golden Age of television(especially TV dramas) right now. The quantity is definitely there, but I wouldn't say any new ground has been broken or that the comic book movies coming out now are better than the ones from the past. We're definitely at the peak of the genre as far as its viability at the box office and general popularity.

What will you do when they make the sequel to Homecoming since you like the character? lol
Yes, people will eventually move on but that could be decades from now. They created a new genre of movies man. When's the last time that happened? This is more than a fad this is innovation.

Star Wars was a trilogy that started in the 1970s. Look at the anticipation for the Last Jedi in 2017. Now compare the Star Wars trilogy of the 1970s/80s to the current MCU, Fox's Mutant movies, whatever DC is doing, the upcoming Spideyverse and Venture comics movies being worked on? Shyt will be around for a long ass time IMO.

Cinematic Universes aren't breaking new ground?

And do you remember how bad on average comic book movies used to be?

Yep. Just like I'm not really excited for Justice League, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Deadpool 2, etc. I'll see them but the excitement is not there. :yeshrug:
I mean if you see it I think that's all the excitement the creators are looking for. :manny:
And you know why you will still see it? there is nothing else out there that has taken your attention away from them like that not to.

I don't understand this logic? I just want them to focus on telling good stories instead of rushing to meet their yearly quotas

it took 10yrs to make deadpool, it took 16 yrs to get to logan, its not an accident that they're amazing

I might watch it when it's out on Netflix, shrugs.
I was huge on X Men and I haven't watched a single one after X Men 2.
I haven't watched Spiderman 3 or TAS movies and going by Homecoming I haven't missed much.
People are watching these movies based on them being fans of the characters I don't even think majority of the "fans" necessarily find these movies to be even good. Just content with seeing the characters onscreen interacting with each other.
