Yall been praying on chief curry ankles for like 4 years god damn...he already the greatest shooter tob fee ver live, has an nba season mvp, a gold medal, and a tirle while leading hks team to the greatest start for a team ever and winning 15 straight...how is it far fetched to say he isnt gonna be top 5 when with all of what i said alone u can make an argument hes a top 10 pg in an era where starting pgs is at one of the strongests its ever been in nba history?

So Steph is without question the most skilled shooter ever at the position and in the conversation of most skilled dribbler. But that's where it ends.

If he was just a great or even all time great shooter he wouldn't be what he is because we have never seen shooter dominate like this. His GOATness in regards to shooting and thusly his ability to dominate games separate him from guys like that despite the similar skill sets. That's why I always skillset or pure "insert ability here" discussions. All that matters is how you produce and impact the game. Steph is producing in an insane way and impacting the game in a manner that we haven't seen.

Elite handle? check
Elite passing? check

I don't agree either... Steph has the best shot...his shot is doing like 90% of the job.. No one wants to see it release so they defend him the wrong way.. Making it look like his passes and dribles are far superior to everyone...

He is the best shooter..most dangerous shooter... So that makes him unguardable..u can only slow him down

i've never seen anybody shoot like breh, add that to the fact his ability to create those shots, he really might be the GOAT shooter of all time when it's all said and done. one of the best PGs period ever too

Steph is moving the game into a new direction with his play. He's literally changing the way the game will be played going forward. You think Jordan had his clones? Curry will have 2x the amount.

Saying that though, he does not have the best skillset for a PG. A skillset is defined by the varying things you can do on a court at any given time. He's got limitations when compared to someone like Kidd, who probably was better at everything on a basketball court cept shooting the ball. Curry may be the best shooter of all time so that may make him more effective but not necessarily more skilled than the all time great PGs.

I agree that J.Kidd was the better overall PG but Steph is good at everything a PG does but he is just EXCEPTIONAL at scoring.. Possibly the best shooter ever. And the fact at how he gets his own shot makes him almost impossible to guard one on one.


Plus, like I said he has a ring on the team he lead... He's definitely in the conversation with these guys. His only real weakness is probably on ball defense and turnovers

id still put up durant as a better shooter though. he's deadly from everywhere, just not as consistent from deep. And by not as consistent i mean curry shoots 46% while durant is "only" shooting 44% from deep.

KD is that great that he can average 27 with high assists and rebound numbers and get overlooked cause he's been doing it for so long and a lot of people take it for granted. He needs to go on a scoring binge like he did a couple years ago to let people know that he's still here too. Him and Russy have never dominated together in the way they both did when the other was out for an extended period of time. KD needs to just say fukk it and get 25 shots a game for the next 30 games.

KD's been great this year, possibly better than his MVP season, but he's been timid thus far (relatively speaking, he's not going off like in 14') and the Thunder haven't been dominant so there's not much to talk about. If he wins a title or at least reaches the finals he'll get way more attention.

The problem is standards are extremely high for KD. He was this good two years ago before the injury.

Now a few players have emerged and are just as good.

Not saying KD is great or that he fell off but he hasn't gotten that much better over the past two jeans. HE hasn't shown it at least.

He just doesn't try as hard as other superstars.

If he did he'd be blowing awAy the competition.
