No. People that don't already watch wrestling don't give a shyt.
I think it's in it's "boom" period now. WWE making more money than ever. One of the best storylines of all time. The other company is doing well.
i read that the live gate for Royal Rumble is over $7M.. the media and google search interest was WM level.. and thx to the streaming deal more people watched the Rumble than any other in history. Both nights of WM in Hollywood are sold out damn near. it's gonna be WWE's biggest gate ever. WWE RAW XXX was over 2.5M viewers which in the era of cord cutting is good..
At this point, the name WrestleMania is up there with things like the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, CFP Title game, etc. in terms of events that largely sell themselves merely because of the name.Let's take a second to put this paragraph into context:
1) Rumble has become a stadium show instead of an arena show, so of course the larger stadium you host it in, the larger the gate (not to mention ticket prices creeping up annually)
2) The rumble is the 2nd biggest wrestling event of the year and the biggest gimmick match of the year, so even those who stopped watching as a kid might check it out because of the gimmick
3) See note above about it being the second biggest wrestling event of the year, so viewership (WWE nor Peacock have released the actual viewership numbers BTW, so who knows if 10 more people or 10 million more people watched) is going to be higher than a regular PPV
4) Wrestlemania sells out no matter the venue, having it in LA this year is no different than selling out the stadium in Vegas, Atlanta, etc. for 2 nights and as I said earlier, prices are naturally going to increase annually so them proclaiming it's the "biggest gate ever" is a PR move for stockholders/new owners
5) RAW XXX is the 30th anniversary show with legends featured on it, so of course it's going to get higher viewership than a random RAW from Corpus Christi, TX.
An uptick in popularity =/= a Boom Period
Tell me why though... The proof is there... business has been tremendous. Everywhere. Even the second tier promotions.
Nah.
Posted every year around Wrestlemania season lol
No. It's a niche industry. And the majority of the viewing audiences are 50+ year olds.
Ask this again after WrestleMania season is over
Ask post Mania.
No the hell it isn't. Only thing hot is Vince McMahon.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'M DYINGLMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
There's never gonna be another boom period in wrestling. I don't care what "the numbers" say.
What are you even on about?
NFL season is in playoffs and RAW XXX + Mania season. Wrestling is always "hot" at this time, but look back to even 10 years ago and you'll realize they were pulling 3.5-4.0's around this time. It's nowhere near hot. Just a couple of weeks ago these guys were doing 1.3 on the last hour of RAW.
One decent storyline doesn't change the fact that people aren't really tuning in. Both companies lack a transcendent star that draws in the audiences and both are too corporate to let anyone with potential get over. We will most-likely never see a boom again mainly because of that.
There will never be another boom period in Wrasslin.
Usually from Backlash to Money In The Bank is when the product is mid and they just seem to be coasting along until Summerslam.@RammerJammer

It may be a boom period but it won't look exactly like the attitude era and people need to stop expecting that. Heyman said it best this period is the most lucrative, the 90's was the most transformative.
And oh yes Roman Reigns is forefront of this new surge.
