Wrestling isn't going to have a stranglehold on the mainstream. It's like my Lil Baby and Lil Durk comparison. There's rappers going to platinum or double platinum but large swaths of the country have no idea who they are. That's what we're seeing in wrestling but on an even larger scale. My point was everything is niche. Even shyt that's really popular and financially well off. There's no more Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Prince, Madonna, Michael Jordan, Hulk Hogan, anymore. Names that EVERYONE knows. That's not how it works anymore.
Also, You can't just look at TV viewership and say that's the end all be all to popularity. There's YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Peacock, all types of avenues for people to CONSUME wrestling content without actually sitting in front of a TV.
