Taye Diggs in All American
The actor didn't feel like he was from Harlem..breh was corny as shyt.
The wire isn't a black TV show.that's not the point its to the black community why are black tv shows all gangster voyeurism is the point?
regardless watch what y'all want, i dont watch tv shows yet alone some demon energy shyt.
Blackish was dope, eff outta hereI mean it’s ass but Blackish
The wire isn't a black TV show.
It was a police crime drama..where they happened to show the perspective of the streets...they even showed how white criminals get down(i.e the politicians..and the docks).
bro ok take the wire out of my comment, fine.
i still think the same things. i am not into the fake black struggle shows oh i am a gangster life is so hard i cant drop the gangs the guns. that shyt is for retards.
all 50 cent tv shows are retarded and etc thats the point. i dont know what is not blatantly obvious within the community but whatever take the wire out still same problem.
the actual title of thread supports my observation and comment.
here in the UK is even worse anything black on TV is : top boy, bullet boy, gunpowder girl, the ends this and that.
Made a thread about this year's ago...bro ok take the wire out of my comment, fine.

Real Talk, black people need to stop making "black themed" movies
Seriously 95 % of movies with a black cast and black director, black producer, etc are corny af. The movie is always either about A) some kid from the hood trying to make it out or B) some 40 year old who's trying to find love while complaining about finding no good man (basically every tyler...www.thecoli.com
There were plenty of people on here saying I was wrong . A very large portion of black people can't imagine themselves outside of the tv roles of gangsters, failures and criminals.
forward thinking bro.
the average coli poster is swindled by an influx of constant stimulation from constant garbage they are watching and listening to.
they never want to hear that supporting and watching these TV shows is having an adverse effect on their health and especially the community.
yacubians continue to scrutinized black people like all of us are degenerate thugs obsessed with criminality and yet these so called scholars of the community are supporting these shows and images. then will complain when they dont get hired for a work role or no one sits next to them on the commute or honey on POF say "no black men" if we all support this 50cent thug mantra then how are we different? its not just entertainment. they said the revolution will not be televised for a reason.
The crazy thing about Power by 50 is it was one of the few shows where a straight Black man was in charge of his circumstances without being under the control of anyone. House of Lies was the other.
Because every other show with Black men shows a black dude working for some cac, or he's henpecked by his wife and is a clown, or he's playing an unemployed clown who doesn't amount to much like on Atlanta where Glover deliberately wrote the characters so they never really succeeded.
Start Up with the Haitian gangsters from Miami … I guess it turned positive in the end but …
fukk Netflix for canceling this. Was anticipating season 2.
This is the oneAbott Elementary
BTW I hear you completely...black people need to create our own stories and then we can control how we're portrayed.bro ok take the wire out of my comment, fine.

The biggest name making his own is Tyler perry...but his shyt is geared towards feel good chick flicks.
I been dabbling in writing screenplays or just story outlines...I just haven't taken the next step in making it a reality....I wish Hollywood or rather people with the power to do so backed the black directors and artists who want to put out quality shows starring black people.
I had to defend the wire somewhat because I feel they tried to do justice in portrayal of black people. Yes Omar was gay but you didn't feel like it was put in there for an agenda...atleast I didn't.
