Never said the characters weren't compelling or fleshed out, but (outside of Jon and maybe Sansa I guess)I wouldn't call myself a "fan" of most of the current crop. I wouldn't call it a gripe, I consider The Wire, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos some of the best tv of all time and I felt the same way about them. Walter White and Tony Soprano are fantastic characters in terms of writing, but they're not ones I would root or "stan" for, at least imo. I concede that unlikeable may have been the wrong word to use.
In terms of the topic at hand, again, I never cared about Black representation in GoT much at all. We could use more empowering, positive fantasy fare at the moment, like Black Panther was. In fact, I would like to see more Afro futurism explored in live action. It's a new frontier that really hasn't been mined yet and so much potential is there.
Fair enough. Personally I love all the House Lannister characters, but maybe it's because I love a good villian.
I would say Tywin, Tyrion, and Jaime are all good characters. Sure, they're willing to kill people or have people killed but they see it as a means to protect themselves and their family. Nothing scummy about that.

Here we go again. People getting upset at a CAC freeing a bunch of CACS that happen to be in the desert. And getting upset because a CAC writer focus on his people when developing an epic fantasy. You don't have to like it, but getting upset about it is pointless. We have to create our own fantasies and create our own networks /movie studio a to push it. In the mean time propel gonna enjoy what they want
