People have been writing articles on this. I pointed this shyt out last week in the thread where Daenerys did some Rastafarian remix. The nerds trying to defend it on some “well actually...”

I’m not surprised someone who acts on a fantasy show is down for tone deaf cultural appropriation.

In GOT they focus on Anglo white people even though it’s supposedly a whole different world. And then when they do have non-whites, they’re portrayed as war mongering rapists like that Jason Moma character.

Or the black characters are literally just slaves.

this is just wrong, most of the black characters have been bounty hunters, pirates and soldiers

the only "black" slave was that mix girl, before she become Daenary's right hand woman. the slaves on this show look mostly middle easterners or southern European.

Westeros is all based on Europe during the Middle Ages.

Plus, the Dothraki are based on wild, nomadic Arab tribes.

The Summer Isles is still mostly unexplored (by Europeans) Africa.

There was a black character earlier in the series but he turned out to be a Nigerian scammer.

There are two black love interest , one is .Woman named Melisandre and a soldier named Grey Worm who is the leader of a dikk less army.

The books describe them as white haired white skin with purple eyes.

GRRM originally was going to make the Targaryens (and all Valyrians) black but decided against it. Wasn’t sure how white people would take to a black family ruling a white continent. Truthfully the Valyrians should’ve been darker. It doesn’t make sense for them to be white when it’s the same latitude as Slavers Bay and Ghis. They should be Middle Eastern looking at worst.
