The Neptunes had a great run though. The first Kelis LP, Clipse, NERD plus all the banger singles they did at the turn of the century is a hell of a legacy. What holds me back from ranking them near the top is that they made a lot of beats that sound the same and they (mostly Pharrell) have been making forgettable beats for the last 10 years.

Pharrell and Chad produced a remix for Sade and it's one of the best remixes of all time.
They even produced a remix for Prince and that joint was tight and Prince hardly ever let anyone else work on his music.
