I don’t think it’s needed right now, like @Larry Legend said, it’s a unique story

I mean in the past week, a Cold War developed in the Bloodline with Usos/Sami vs Roman/Solo/Heyman, now we know that the Usos won’t turn against the Bloodline but it’s an example of the twists and turns within this story. I don’t think a Bloodline rival is needed until after Sami is gone from the Bloodline.

I doubt the Bloodline will disband at mania but the belief is that Roman will lose those titles at mania.

the person dethroning him being someone who isn’t involved in this 12 month long storyline would be disappointing.

Wouldn’t be the end of the world, but I’m a strike while the iron is hot type of guy. Sami will always be over because he’s good, but once that bloodline dynamic finally changes and he stands up for himself, he’ll be scorching at that point. I don’t know if he sustains that 9 months later without overcoming Roman. I feel like you’d almost have to pull the trigger then. If anything, Cody and the other aforementioned guys can wait 5-6 months.

They have to pull the trigger on Cody otherwise he looks like Luger in 93. And let’s be honest. After the big underdog baby face pop if they did it with Sami… then what? You’re going to be in the same ballpark that Kofi was in where the guy with the belt is not the focus of the show.

I don't really see this as a Kofimania situation for the simple fact that Kofi was forced into the position after he caught fire. Sami has been a main focus on the show via the bloodline angle for like 7 months now.

He gets his moment, continues the feud with the bloodline.. Roman likely gets his title back, and he can run the Cody match ya'll desperately want at Summerslam..

I disagree with this notion that Cody HAS to win the championship right now. For one, the nikka ain't been around, and two, he's on a show where he'd still be the focal point. RAW doesn't have a world title. He doesn't need it right away. his fanfare isn't going anywhere. With Sami though, once the bloodline dynamic changes and it doesn't result in him dethroning Roman, you run the risk of him losing all the momentum you've been foolishly putting into him for a year with no viable end game in place.

and I mean, that's fine. if they don't plan on Sami being champion, his momentum stalling means nothing. but to invest and devote this much time into Sami and Roman's dynamic and foolishly putting all this momentum behind Sami only for it to result to nothing is kinda... weird? if that was going to be the case, they could have just put someone else in his spot.

but that's just me! I'll live with whatever happens lol

i don't believe the Sami angle was the original "A" story of Bloodline. my guess is Dwayne has always been a the guy they wanted to battle Roman for "head of the table"

Cody has been setup for the title run. That was his purpose. Remember they showed footage of Dusty from MSG in the 70s? He's supposed to "do it for Dusty"

Yeah the Sami thing does feel like an accident..

Literally an Urkel situation where he guest starred on the show and it worked to a point where he almost had to become a regular

But here we are lol…

I know people say the Cody story is there, and I get it. Dusty and all that bullshyt. but for me, I’m like nah… him and Roman haven’t even interacted with each other. We can tell that formulaic ass “it’s my destiny” storyline anytime vs anyone. This bloodline story is more intricate and dynamic. Cody can have a seat, respectfully!

Lmao man!

They could always book around it and have Sami eliminate himself earlier in the rumble after being forced by his bloodline fam, or even having them eliminate him well before Cody is even involved

But if they put themselves in a situation where Sami is in that final 4, it won’t matter if Jesus was in that ring with him. The fans choosing Sami

WWE always does a piss poor job of building up a credible number 2. Which is why if people's Cody wish comes true it will flop hard

I think the original intent of the Sami/Bloodline thing was to jump-start another KO/Roman fued and possibly break the Uso's domination of the tag team division. At the time Kevin was a heel so him coming to the defense of Sami would have shown character growth and turned him face in the process. Obviously the story got much bigger than those plans so here we are today.

The biggest twist for me would be to see Sami stay in the Bloodline and give Kevin Owens receipts for all the bullshyt he's done over the last decade. They can do Cody/Roman, have Roman lose the belts and go insane, writing him off TV for a few months (he's earned a break). The Usos will probably lose their titles somehow as well making it look like the Bloodline is in tatters. Sami steps up to the plate, brings the family together and dethrones Cody himself and helps the Usos regain control of the tag division, possibly winning one of the tag belts himself with Solo (The Official Adam Pierce tried to make an anti Uso rule that backfired - they aren't allowed to hold both tag belts).

Once the Sami controlled Bloodline is back as the dominant force, Reigns will return urged on by Paul Heyman who has seen his influence diminished. You could go two ways here; have Sami immediately acknowledge the Tribal Chief by handing over the championships creating resentment within Sami and the Bloodline as a whole or have Sami refuse and Reigns trying to destroy the Bloodline since he can no longer use it to his benefit.

I'd prefer that. Because once this current storyline is done, what do we do with Sami Zayn? I think he needs time as a stronger character within the Bloodline before he is cut loose on his own again.

They’ve only really invested in Reigns to the point where they havent built anyone up to dethrone him.

They basically were so happy that the fans finally connected to him and they said fukk everybody else.

And now they’re kinda screwed.

Bloodline storyline and Reigns has been great but at the same time you can’t put your eggs in one basket.

Should have never given him/them both belts. Imo .

Sami is good but we all know they don’t love him that much behind the scenes, to make him dethrone Reigns. No matter how much he gets cheered.

They’ve booked Sami as a comedic character for years now. Now suddenly they’re gonna book him to beat the longest reigning champ in the modern era? I think not
