Are haitians the diaspora that kept closest to their African roots?

You should take the test. Read the article that I linked and it will show you how some of the Africans that took the test turned out. The one thing that the article points out is that Nigerians are admixed; and sometimes the tests came back closer to people in other regions. Some Igbo's that tested came back closer to Cameroon/Congo; while some of the Yoruba that tested came back closer to Togo/Benin.

Igbos have more bantu/cameroon affinity than Yorubas

Below are various results of Ancestry DNA and 23 and me DNA tests from Nigerians who have provided their results online.

There is a lot of Cameroonian ancestry in Igbos, while both Igbo and Yoruba often have Benin ancestry with more in Yorubas.

They are actually part of the Mande people.

Some sources actually link them to Angola, which would make them part of the Kingdom of Kongo.

mande and kongo are most likey the top stocks but thet are mixed with other tribes also if you believe it's reflected in the dialect

There is a lot of Cameroonian ancestry in Igbos, while both Igbo and Yoruba often have Benin ancestry with more in Yorubas.

Before Great Britain drew up the borders of Nigeria, Igboland covered an area between Nigeria and Cameroon and Yorubaland covered an area between Nigeria and Benin. Once the borders were drew up, genetic Igbos were split between Nigeria and Cameroun. Essentially, the Bamilekes of Northern Cameroun are genetically Igbos which is why Nigerian Igbos match folks from Cameroun who were basically caught in the border split. Same for Yorubas. The Dahomeys of Benin are basically an offshoot of the Yorubas that got caught in the border split. So Yorubas match folks in Benin.

The way people try to separate and compare us to shytty majority black countries and try to blame colonization as if we aren't or haven't been a minority. It tickles me

Old thread but OP said "Rastas":beli: Rastas are closer to Hebrew Israelites than they are to anything authentically "African"
