Afros, dreads, braids, cornrows, knots, 1's are universal. Fades, flattops,and apparently waves are unique to Black Americans.

most people outside the US are not obsessed about hair styles, hair texture and all that other stuff. Black men in other parts of the world either wear their hair naturally, full 2pac baldie or just comb it, no waves or other extra shyt like bigen and sharp lineups. You will occasionally see someone with waves...and it will 95% likely be a Nigerian.

Like I said, other nations dont obsess over hair like Americans. Many men in African countries wear their hair naturally and not comb it. Why is it so hard to understand that other people dont spend time brushing their hair forward so waves could appear?
