#8 The Evil Within 2
Easily one of my favorite games this gen.
I beat the game on hard and wish I would have bumped the difficulty up to the hardest. I found the majority of the game to be very easy.
The environments, controls, graphics, and overall game play were all great.
This game, like the first one, falls apart on the story. The voice acting is hilarious in how corny it is, especially when accompanied by some horrible animations during the in game cut scenes. This time, the story is easier to follow than the first, but it's still pretty cut and dry. It's pretty much amateur level story telling throughout the entire game.
There could have been some pretty emotional moments in this game if the acting wasn't so corny.
The game has new game plus so it's nice to see I have the option to jump back in and pick up and items that I left behind.
If scores matter to you (to me they don't, I've enjoyed some pretty low scoring games) I'd say this is a solid 8/10.
For those looking for a modern take on the traditional Resident Evil experience, I highly recommend this game.

Not sure what the hell I just played. Games like this make me feel like I must not have refined enough taste. I’ve seen this game praised quite a bit. I personally don’t get it. You walk forever with no threat of dying at all. The presentation is beautiful. This is definitely a game I will never play again, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at all. Once was definitely enough.
