There are a lot of rappers that at one point were emceeing at a level higher than Hov, problem is Hov more or less maintained his level and adapted accordingly. Beans reached a high point and then due to all the bullshyt he got involved in it was all over in a flash.

Jayz is the Kobe of rap. Not the greatest but his consistency is what makes him. Growing up with both, I’d say beans was one of the better rappers I’ve listened to but he’s Tmac. Passes the eye test (don’t even ask me how) but doesn’t have it. Just an unfair comparison
