from a story and script standpoint its super lame and silly. The action is dope but the movie isnt great by any means. Thats why critics get paid and we dont. They cant watch the action scenes and be like "that shyt was flames". They actually have to critique the movie as a whole and as a whole its cheesy af. The character of black manta alone is awful

shyt felt like a literal DC animated film/Comic come to life. I loved it.
If u enjoy that sorta thing then it's pretty impossible for u not to enjoy this type of film.
If u prefer Oscar worthy performances where someone cries or hugs every 10 minutes, or a serious drama where a disabled person learns to play a violin or sum shyt then it's probably not for u
This was made for that kid in the 90s who used to get up early and watch X-Men, Batman, Spiderman, Marvel and DC cartoons on Saturdays whose now an adult and wants to experience that piff again. The Kevin Smith's of the world

i love dc animation so uhh yea. You're speaking from a visual standpoint still. None of the best dc animated flicks had writing as bad as this movie did. Some of the most corny shyt happened in this movie. At first watch i was blown away as well. It wasnt til my 2nd viewing where i was like "damn this shyt is dumb". Im all for dumb flicks too btw. Loved the transformers films til about 3 then they got too dumb even for me.

cosign. I didn't see this until I got it on 4K. Movie was fukking awesome. I don't really understand the "its CORNY" comments it wasn't some inventive storyline but most superhero flicks don't have that so I don't see how it differs much. The camera work/action/visuals were fukking incredible and outweigh any mediocre or ho-hum story elements. Jason Momoa was great as aquaman.
