I can't get with To Pimp a Butterfly at all, but maybe I'm just old.

I have heard the majority of the albums listed though.

Not only does it make white people feel bad for whatever reason but anyone with ears could tell you that the execution in the songwriting and every single producer put their whole ass into this project, and only MBDTF on a commercial level is this grandiose and perfection from a production POV. One day people will stop dismissing it, even if its not everyones cup of tea.

I've also seen more and more SIng About Me I'm Dying of Thirst being one of the greatest tracks of all time as well, and I can't say it's not worth consideration. It's a fine wine.
You're right, I probably don't know another album that plays in the same league as TPAB as far as music go. It literally features some of the very best work from Kamashi Wasghington :wow:

OK Computer is probably the only album I'd put up there with it, and that shyt is rock

Radiohead was actually gonna be my example for shyt I don't necessarily fukk with personally along with some other 'RateYourMusic classics" but I wouldn't sully the names of some of their classics like that, Kid A or In Rainbows. They are what they are and kid what they did. Nobody in the music community throws dirt on that shyt.

Good example of why lists don't matter to me: the people who make the lists are no longer qualified and don't understand music. How many jazz experts or even jazz fans work at Apple Music? Hell, I'm not even sure they have people who appreciate jazz there. Which is how you end up with arguably one of the top 5 most important albums in American history not making the top 10 or even top 20. Glancing at the albums currently ranked ahead (so far):

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
Daft Punk - Discovery
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - Born To Run
The Beatles - Revolver

All great, classic albums sure. You can also trace musical influence from each, sure. But Kind Of Blue re-wrote understandings of jazz (and music in general), solidified a new way of playing, and influenced countless artists that came afterwards from jazz to rock to hip hop.
