Took all the rap albums from the list and complied them here in order of ranking from top to bottom with the number on the list. I decided to include Lauryn as a rap album only because I've seen it on other all time rap albums but I'm not gonna disagree with anyone who feels its not a rap album. So you can move it out and just move everyone to see the ranking. Does Bad Bunny count as hip hop cause he rapping spanish? I left him out wasnt too sure (He was 76 and before Missy and would between her and Em if you wanted to rank him)

#1. Lauryn Hill — The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill .
#7 Kendrick Lamar — good kid, m.A.A.d city
#13. Jay-Z — The Blueprint
#19. Dr. Dre — The Chronic
#26. Kanye West — My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
#29. A Tribe Called Quest — The Low End Theory
#31 The Notorious B.I.G. — Ready to Die
#34. Public Enemy — It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
#37. Wu-Tang Clan — Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
#39. Nas — Illmatic
#41. OutKast — Aquemini
#47. Drake — Take Care
#48. Beastie Boys — Paul’s Boutique
#62. 2Pac — All Eyez on Me
#65. De La Soul — 3 Feet High and Rising
#70. N.W.A — Straight Outta Compton
#75. Missy Elliott — Supa Dupa Fly
#80. Eminem — The Marshall Mathers LP
#82. 50 Cent — Get Rich or Die Tryin'
#84. Snoop Dogg — Doggystyle
#92. Tyler, The Creator — Flower Boy
#98. Travis Scott — ASTROWORLD

Let me know if anyone needs the R&B/Soul shyt ranked too
Is Flower Boy and AstroWorld better than TPAB?

That Lauren hill and Frank ocean albums are the moray overrated album to me.

Thriller is number 1. Bad not being on there is ridiculous

No love to the Metal genre either

Alice in Chains Dirt not on but Take Care is hahaha

I agree thriller should had been #1, but I’m not mad at it. I’m revisiting the miseducation and this album has aged like fine wine :banderas:

My indifference for major publication/app lists aside it's interesting how they devalued certain genres, perhaps based on current trends. Rock is pretty much dead today yet, and while Nevermind made the top 10 it feels like a placeholder. I'm not complaining about that placement, just interesting to me. Flip side r&b was seemingly devalued throughout the list only for the top ten to jam four albums in, two of which clearly don't deserve to be there (Lemonade and Blond). Seems clear someone decided elevating new albums was more important than say....putting What's Going On in the top 10 where it belongs. Basically you're seeing the thought process that's going to bump Taylor Swift and/or Billie Eilish into the top 10 at some point in the next ten years.

Also while I can't stand Kanye, it's clear he was knocked down that list for his antics over the last 5-10 years. You'd expect MBDTF to creep within the 15-20 based on how they were ranking albums.

A lot of y’all taking this shyt way too serious. The list was based off of cultural impact and not JUST the quality of the album. :yeshrug: The top 10 is accurate.

TPAB definitely should be on this list tho, also CO and TCD as well as some others but ahh well

If we're talking cultural impact then Illmatic should be in the top 10-15, no way should an album like Blueprint be above it.

Illmatic is up there with a handful of rap albums in terms of cultural impact, Chronic is one, i'm not even sure GKMC is up there in terms of how it influenced the genre and culture and thats one of my top 5 rap albums of all time.
