I would be interested in Eminem putting out another book. The Way I Am was an unexpectedly good read.



It has to be business-related because it never made sense to me how open and proud he is about his hip hop fandom. Guy wears T-shirts of old rap albums so his fans can be educated and possibly be interested in checking them out. But at the same time, he's getting beats from Skylar and the first time he's ever worked with DJ Premier was just him scratching over a beat he didn't even make so.......what other reason could there be?

Other people have mentioned it, but I think Eminem would get a lot out of making a real old-school hip hop album. Have one guy produce the whole thing, maybe someone legendary like Marley Marl or DJ Quik. Get a bunch of old-school rappers for features, use all the classic samples and break beats like "Funky Drummer" and "Impeach the President." He could even change up his flow/delivery so it sounds more like it came from the golden age. It would be fun.

That sucks, because I can tell that's the kind of album he would make if there was no pressure from anyone or anything. Or maybe it would be if his ear for music was different.

I think @SunZoo has said a couple times that Eminem has less control over his career than you would expect because of his success. I guess that makes sense, but it's not 2010 anymore. He took over the charts twice, he proved to the label that he can do mainstream pop rap and have it sell. At this point, with him pushing 50, this is the time for him to start making those passion projects. He's never had that chance and he's not getting any younger.

I'm guessing that on the heels of Ether he didn't want that line about Em murdering Jay on his own shyt to potentially backfire.

I think Nas wanted Eminem on his song daughters, and to do a remix or something , but Em didnt want to it as he felt he had done enough song about Hallie and wanted to keep her out of the spotlight from now on
