The surface pro has full windows 8 on it and all that "missing" storage is due to the backup within the system. You can easily remove that if you make an external backup. You are not going to create more content on an iPad than you could on a surface pro...again the advantage is a FULL DESKTOP OS. You can theoretically create windows, windows phone, android, and blackberry apps on the Surface Pro as long as the system requirements are in check...you cannot create ANY apps on the iPad...PERIOD.
I know you are an apple fanboy, but an $800 iPad? With gimped iOS on it? Maybe if it had a full installation of Mac OS X allowing for xCode and other critical apps for creating content I might agree with you, but as it stands? fukk NO
@ $800-$100 Surface Pro > iPad. I don't care if Apple somehow manages to throw a damn terabyte in there. Apple has you dudes thinking crazy. They get away with it on the phone because they have iNerds thinking that storage is some sort of premium that is extremely difficult to figure out.
