Well she's famous. Lots of viral videos of her. I bet most of the people didn't even know what they were voting for. They saw her name, recognized, and just voted for that based on familiarity.
That's hilarious because in 2018 she was a complete noname facing a 20-year vet with huge name recognition, was outspent 17 to 1, and still kicked his ass despite zero familiarity.

So now that she's been in Congress barely more than a year she all of the sudden is only winning due to her "name recognition advantage" even though she's pushing her political positions constantly on social media and in every appearance. If you live anywhere in New York and don't know where on the political spectrum AOC is and what positions she's fighting for, you're an idiot.

I don't know her political stance.

But, I only see people posting negative shyt about her.

With that same winning w/ 70% of the vote is impressive af.

I don’t know much either. I’ve just heard her several times try to amalgamate every person with the “Black Struggle”, and attempt to give everyone reparations.

First off, AOC has barely been in office for a year now, so I don't know where you come up with "almost three years". She entered at the end of Jan 2019.

Maybe you should comprehend what you're reading first, before replying. :pachaha:

"BLM/Greater New York are angry that Alexandria Ocasio-Horseface has endorsed several candidates for office, and not one of them is black! This after they organized 2 years ago to help put her in Congress.

As they put it, "when it comes to American politics, blacks are on their own." It took them almost three years of being ignored to realize that Ocasio-Horseface is an anti-black racist?"

:sas2:

The sentence above clearly states "after they organized 2 years ago to help put her in Congress" which has absolutely nothing to do with when AOC was sworn in to congress as a congresswoman!

:mjlol::russ::snoop:

Primary election:
Ocasio-Cortez drew national recognition when she won the Democratic Party's primary election for New York's 14th congressional district on June 26, 2018.

General election:

Ocasio-Cortez won the election with 78% of the vote (110,318) to Pappas' 14% (17,762). Crowley, on the WFP and WEP lines, received 9,348 votes (6.6%). Her election was part of a broader Democratic victory in the 2018 midterm elections, as the party gained control of the House by picking up 41 seats.

:pachaha:

I'll concede on this tidbit. :unimpressed:

I wasn't responding to the "after they organized two years ago" sentence. I was responding to the "almost 3 years of being ignored" sentence.

That primary still wasn't even 2 full years ago and she was only seated 17 months ago, so I'm not seeing where you got "almost 3 years of being ignored" from.

Especially since the main evidence you were talking bout was her ENDORSEMENTS. Was she endorsing people when she was a no-name running in her first primary ever? Like I said, this is the very first election since she got elected herself, and she's already endorsed at least three Black men, all underdogs (but 2 of the 3 won and the 3rd is in a miracle finish for an almost impossible race). So the claim was made up out of nowhere.

Ocasio-Cortez endorses Bowman over incumbent Engel

Ocasio-Cortz, Sanders endorse Booker over McGrath

Ocasio-Cortez Endorses Mondaire Jones

It's funny you mention him. I met him when i first moved to the BX, Soundview area during an old school park jam. We seen each other at different times later on when he used to do interviews at a certain TV station. When he became Borough President, his personality did a 180. Now it's all about that higher office, not the people. He's been compromised

That TV station was probably News 12 the Bronx (unless it was a public access thing) and I use to work there as a show director. We would do a weekly call-in show with him nad it was mostly him bullshytting about "I'll get back to you." Nice guy, but just a phony career politician. He doesn't fukk with his own Dad though because he's pro-LGBT himself and other liberal causes his father ain't for, and his Dad is a self-interested weirdo who takes being a Bronx/inner city politician as a joke. So glad Torres is whoopin his ass.

"Posted."

The. Internet. Is. Not. Real. Life. Web forums and social media pages are a cesspool of bullshyt whiners who don't even vote or participate.

Like someone else said...the internet is going back to where it was in the 90s, where people who frequent it for social interactions are assumed to be anti-social weirdos who's views and ideas don't reflect reality.

She has barely put a foot wrong, and most of the people who dislike her have nothing to do with policy, proposals or actions, and more to do with the fact she is a outspoken female Latina.

These haters will jump at any chance to catch her out, taking things of context, using snippets of quotes and so forth. Just look at her any tweet of hers and the hundreds of negative troll replies, all Alt Right cacs, the majority of which use the exact same talking points as the "black" posters here....such a coincidence.

AOC is a gem, I give a fk what she looks like. An actual left progressive voice who's shown what she is capable of. To those Trump supporting or accepting Blacks and Latinos, she does more for your communities than you do. This is the same person who has consistently been saying BLM and not just the in the last 3 weeks. Even spoke on it and anti blackness in Iowa, a swing state for a good 20 minutes. Any other fukking Dem would have moved so far central and right in a swing state, whereas AOC doubled down straight after it and said; "we're not taking the party left, we're taking the party home". And that we, is the sisters of The Squad, brother Jamaal now and hopefully Booker too.
