I'm wild confused. This is the only campaign commercial of hers I've seen this cycle and Black folk are all up in it and BLM is one of the three main issues she's highlighting.

Of course, there's also the part where her mom had to work as a housekeeper cleaning people's bathrooms so they could afford to get out of that apartment in the Bronx and pay the mortgage on a nice house, the part where her dad died when she was 18 and her and her mom had to hustle both working multiple jobs to make it, and the part where her house nearly got foreclosed on after her dad's death. To say that she hasn't experienced a working-class grind is to ignore damn near half her life.

Way to run with far-right narratives, what else have they been feeding your recently?

She grew up around whites and is using true working class people to put herself in power. Didn't even learn Spanish in her own home.

Didn't see one black person in her campaign commercial. What I saw had
Latinos
Asians
White
Muslim

Not one bruh not one sista?

It's glaring. Has nothing to do with the right it's about how she's representing herself compared to reality and how, from the perspective of a black person, who isn't an immigrant I'm not sure what she's about. She said we but I didn't see us....

She has none outside of the city...

She has no shot at winning any seat statewide...

City mayor is her ceiling and I don't think she can pull that off either...

Kind of agree.....might hit mayor but nothing higher RIGHT NOW.

A lot will depend on how the national electorate changes in the next 10 years. She may be seen and borderline centrist when Gen Z starts coming up behind the Millenials. As it stands, she definitely won't flip red/purple states and probably can't appeal to older blacks and whites (the backbone of the Dem party).

I think she'd be like Bernie maybe with a higher ceiling if she was old enough to run for President now. Definitely enough to draw a lot of interest being an attractive, non-white female progressive. Can she sit down with Bob in Ohio or Otis in Charleston and connect during primary season? Not sure she's there yet. That's what got Bernie beat. He catered to the two least reliable demographics: Latinos and young voters. You have to win the centrist whites and old school blacks to actually have a legit shot. Obama tapped into all those demographics.

I hate to sound sexist but she seems like she would be extremely annoying to date

Yeah pretty sexist, shes a politician and you can only think about fukking her. How about you focus on the laws

Not a fan of her policies

Like which ones trouble you the most? Give me the top 2-3 with a brief explanation on what you don't like.

:childplease: I'm not about to do all that breh. Just know I'm not a fan

That was one of the deeper political discussions I've seen in TLR. :ehh:

Thats her new ad to capitalize on a hot topic

The ads she was running last year were different. But I guess she had different peoples ass to kiss then.

She learned Spanish in public. Not in her house. She herself says she's only 80 percent fluent.... How sway.

I brought it up because to me she basically grew up in a white neighborhood at a white school and is playing standard pander politics as needed. She's mis representing herself as if she came from the Bronx when her story is leaning toward affluence. She's not real but she'll be tolerated until she talks that sucka shyt as it relates to reparations. I see her backpedaling alot in the future. Ur getting played

Her stances on gun control don't move me either.

She's here to help Latinos advance into white spaces. She just needs to knock it off with that Jenny from the Bronx shyt. You Alexandria from YORKTOWN, a place they didn't even want non Whites moving to...

Nothing on her platform is for black people so why do we need to care.

So do Black people in the ads matter or not? You were talking like that was a big deal when you were lying and saying there weren't any, now that you see the ad is full of Black folk it doesn't matter anymore? :heh:

And she wasn't running any ads last year, it wasn't even a campaign year. Her ad from two years ago for her first campaign was mostly just tape of her plus crowd shots but it had some black folk in it too.

I just proved your first claim completely wrong, she straight up learned Spanish at home as her first language. Her mom came straight from Puerto Rico, what language do you think her mom spoke at home? And why would AOC be more than 80% fluent when she grew up in America and went to English-speaking schools her whole life? She's never had any Spanish-language education, duh.

My wife is a second-generation immigrant from Egypt, parents didn't even come here until they were adults, spoke Arabic in the home, church was 100% in Arabic, whole extended family everyone spoke Arabic and some didn't even speak English at all, until high school she didn't even have any non-Egyptian friends outside of school, she's still deep in the Egyptian community....and she's like 30% fluent, tops. Her whole generation was focused on English, not Arabic, because they were growing up in America. That's the life of a second-generation immigrant. You're being a full weirdo right now.

:dead::dead::dead:

Yeah, all those "affluent" people whose moms worked as housekeepers their whole life and who have to take three jobs to keep the bank from foreclosing on the house cause dad died when you were a teenager. :heh:

And she DID come from the Bronx. She was born there and lived there till she was five and her whole extended family was still there when she was growing up. Of course she's gonna represent that as her roots. She never lied and said that she went to school in the Bronx or any of that shyt.

Ain't you the guy who is always bragging about making 6 figures and said you could cop a $600k house, but now AOC isn't real enough for you?

Yeah I meant 2 years ago

She wasn't looking to us back then and nothing on her platform shows that she is now I'm so sorry. She's nothing to get excited about for a non-immigrant African American.

I think her parents spoke English at home to try and get her accustomed to being around whites which is why her father move them to Yorktown,a 90% white area. it's very common for immigrants to lose their culture by the 3rd generation so it doesn't shock me at all

For her political career I believe she realized that she needed the language and culture to Garner support from Latino voters and did her due diligence to learn the language because it makes no sense for someone fluent in Spanish to say they are 80% fluent. What does that even mean. You know it or you don't or have you been learning.

Her Father was An architect. I'm sorry but they had money which is how they were able to afford the move and not from saving pennies and tips from mothers job cleaning houses.

The contradictions in her character are pretty glaring to me and just sound like the hustle she needs to get her required voting block.

I don't have an issue with the AOC but this candidate is not the truth.

Just because you have an immigrant wife doesn't mean you need to be on her nuts I don't know if you're black or not but if you are I don't see what you're excited about

I think your wife has more to be excited about if you have no real history in America...
