Anyone who is saying "The NBA Offseason is boring now with the lack of Superteams", blame CJ McCollum

Busts will always be a thing, there’s no way around it

NBA teams prefer younger prospects because they feel they have more untapped potential. There’s the stigma that a 3-4 year college player has less room for growth and closer to being a finished product. If Dalton Knecht was 19 he might’ve gone #1. But since he’s 23 he falls to 17

I think people use KG, Kobe, KD, Lebron, Derrick Rose, etc... all once in a generation players... as the rule when it comes to HS or 1 and done players, when it's more of an outlier. 9/10 a player that young is extremely lacking in BB IQ and not used to playing team ball because they were the solar system in their HS. It's a learning curve alot of players never overcome

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
3 star teams dont win 70% of the time and historically, they under achieve more than succeed.

Teams with a dominant scorer, a role player who can score, and surrounded by role players has always been a better formula.

If you have 2 stars you need a Shaq/Kobe dynamic where their games don't bump heads on the court.

oh no.

Teams have to actually be smart with how they build their rosters and just can’t rely on their location, star power or the waiver wire.

Boo hoo.

A Big 3 Before the CBA

Curry, Klay, Kevin Durant
KD, Kyrie, James Harden
LeBron, Kyrie, Prime Kevin Love

A Big 3 in 2024

Curry, Green, Buddy Hield
LeBron, Ad, Austin Reaves
Luka, Kyrie, Pj Washington
Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier

This the product you nikkaz wanted?
Big 3’s are not supposed to be normal…the dikkriding of the past decade plus has made people think it’s something that was common.

The era people love to daydream about was all about Duos

Shaq/Kobe,Stockton/Malone,Shaq/Penny,Kemp/Payton,Jordan/Pippen

If the league is as stacked as people want to front like there are plenty of players to form duos and compete on the floor.

Ehh…

I wouldn’t say Big 3s were a new thing, what was new was Big 3s being built through free agency

Problem is teams can convince themselves that these guys have high ceilings and can mold them into that

Cam Reddish was horrible at Duke but he still goes top 10 off the strength of his high school tape and being built like Paul George. It’s not until now 5 years later that people have finally accepted he ain’t it
