He was invested in getting that job to an almost psychotic level. He definitely had self esteem issues and probably had a ton of pressure from home (not sure what country he's from) to succeed. Add in severe lack of sleep, I could see it. Sad thing is, the meeting ended up being pushed back so he would've had time to fix the one page.

Btw, dude committed that, right? Because in the previews it sounds like people are saying he just dropped dead.

cool first episode, I’ll see this one out to the end. HBO needs to let go of this obsession of putting d!cks on my screen, tho.

I thought showing cock was a Starz thing?

Yeah, it was confirmed in episode 2 that Hari had a heart condition, though it wasn't shown that well. With a show like this the director can't afford to have the audience put badly made pieces together from the first episode. That's on Lena Dunham.

I don't know if the show is growing on me or it was just bad directing in episode 1 but I like the progression we're seeing. The characters are starting to feel like real people, the soundtrack is nice, and the color doesn't feels right at home for a series based in the city of London.

Gus is meh. Robert is slightly above meh.

Based off the previews it looks like Harper gets found out.

It doesn't make the distinction that she NEEDS to move out. Again, the audience shouldn't have to think this out ourselves but she likely feels lonely and haunted while staying at the dorms what with her friend being overworked to death.

She's doing this because living in the dorms isn't what she wants from London, as can be seen at the end of episode 1 when she books herself in for a night at a posh hotel.

This series has potential but a lot of kinks need to be worked out in season 2's scripts.
