The Rape scene wasn't a rumor. It was in the original Script and it was taken out cause the studio thought it would be controversial and they were right. Read the script online, it's there. As far as not seeing the movie cause of Spike. Nobody should let someone else dictate what they should and shouldn't watch. Spike never said it was a "Bad" movie that had terrible actors. He just said he felt Slavery wasn't a shoot em up bang, bang western. My boy who I trust saw it and he gave me a mixed review, said it was little too cartoony when it was suppose to be serious it would then turn to humor and be like "Blazing Saddles". He said the performances were good and that QT did OD on the N-word. He said there was good things and bad things. Again I will hold my judgement until I see it this weekend (For Free, not paying).

from a purely cinematic perspective it was beautiful. the movie wasn't rushed, took its damn time, but i was drawn into it for every single minute
the dialogue was incredible, the scenery as well
mixed crowd, people were clapping like it was a play in a theater after some scenes
when the rick ross song dropped
