IMMIGRANT TETHERS
I guess I'm basing my assumption on the general reaction on this forum and lack of interest.. This is a QT movie and there wasn't a thread until the day the movie came out and there are hardly any posts in this thread. I haven't heard any white people say that... How can a white director have an anti-white agenda?

:dwillhuh:
what part of the forums have you been reading? There's been a shytload of threads about this movie. Even before they started filming. In fact it was here that I learned about the movie. There were also threads about it back in :hamster: I'm pretty positive there has been at least 2 threads(with at least 50+ post ) in The Arcade alone. Then there's a 100+ post thread about it in KTK. :wtf: This film has been talked about alot on this site. There's also threads about it in TLL.

First off, :ohlawd:

DOOOOOPE fukking movie.

Just came from the theater. Can we please make a smiley of Samuel L Jackson's characters face as the :c00n: smiley. God damn, his c00nery was so deep, I couldn't hold my laughter.

my nikka Dr Schultz, I hate it had to be him.
Damn he was gully

Sheba(Calvin Candie's main slave chick):takedat:

that's one slave beauty I'll travel back in time just to rescue

:whew: Knew I wasn't the only one. She was bad as fukk. I had to make a mental note to figure out what actress that was and yes, Sam Jackson was on-point. Dude was the live-action Uncle Ruckus.

Great movie

Imagine you are jewish when the Nazi gets hit with the baseball bat in IG....its like that feeling the whole movie

waltz and :leostare: were dueling for oscars
(I think Waltz takes it)

Great Story....music was on point

White people when they saw Jamie on the horse:what

****** is in the 125 range

98% black crowd...standing ovation during the credits

Very enjoyable movie experience

...and yeah, I'm from Detroit and went to see it in Southfield at the first showing of the day. The audience was easily 98% black and people were clapping throughout the movie. First thing I could think of that it was "Inglorious Basterds" for black people...except way TRILLER. :steviej:

Christoph Waltz killed it. I'd say he edged Leo out. Dude's swag was off-the-charts from the opening credits...

...than again, Leo was VERY convincing so I can't even call it. They were excellent in their roles.

Foxx was the TRUTH. :salute: :yayo:

The crowd did get very emotionally invested into the story (which was dope) and it's been a long time since I've witnessed so many people (black people, especially) clap through a movie...especially the standing ovation at the end. People were seriously high-fiving and going"HELL YEAH!!" like we were watching the Lions win the Super Bowl

Go see that shyt, brehs. You'll be feeling like :stylin: by the end.

I came into the theater very skeptical but man, I was impressed. I thought Tarantino actually handled the slavery quite tastefully, you felt the slaves pain but he didn't revel in it and he could have at several moments.

Here are some quick notes

-This is the 1st time I thought Jamie Foxx was good in an action movie. I felt like you were watching this dude grow into a real gunman and by the end his skills were unparalelled. He was excellent. His mentor Waltz was excellent as the sensei/trainer, and he did his role terrifically, all the credit in the world

- Leonardo Dicaprio is gonna win an Oscar, Calvin Candie was one of the most dastardly villains I've seen on film and that's saying something because I hate cowboy movies out of a select few. Dude was on point.

-Samuel Jackson was having too much fun out there. It's clear Tarantino let him write is own lines and let him flesh out his character. The fukkery was brilliant. Best House Negro ever.

-Kerry Washington was worth :cape: for and I don't even like her like that.

All that being said, this movie has made its way onto Tarantino's best films, from a technical standpoint it's his best, the cinematography, the shots were awesome and will be used in film classes in the future, and the acting by everyone was terrific. Outside of maybe Black Dynamite, Foxx's Django is one of the best black heroes of the past decade. This movie will become a classic and is Tarantino's 2nd best film after Pulp Fiction.

I went to a mostly white and Mexican theatre. I was :Noah: at their awkward silence when Jamie was going in at the plantation.
