I’m having the same issue. Can’t get YouTube to show my location in Argentina.
Google blocks the app from the app store because it works around their spying and ads. Might be that Apple does the same thing, not sure, don't know if they have an Apple version. For Android, you can get it straight from their site at NewPipe - a free YouTube client
It's safe.
But even better would be to get the F-Droid app store (for free and open source apps) and download it through that. That way you can get automatic updates to the app. They keep updating it in order to keep getting around the changing YT code. F-droid is not in the regular app store either but can be downloaded from their site here. Also safe. Not available for Apple though.

I cancelled my Spotify and using YouTube music now. It’s not as good as Spotify but for 1 dollar a month and no ads on YouTubejust got my first bill

I think this would work with disney plus, netflix and apple music from doing a little research. but I have yet to try any of these yet.

do you have to always keep your vpn on for youtube? for netflix I don't at all, only time i use the vpn is once a year when I reload my turkish giftcards

do you have to watch the selected Turkey Netflix catalog? or once you get off the VPN it switches to America's Netflix?
VPN is only used to create the netflix account and load the giftcards after that never have to use the vpn again unless you want to reload the giftcards. So once its turned off you get american (or wherever you are) netflix but paying turkey prices. You can also add a credit card after like 3 months but i just keep with the giftcards just incase they ever check and realize i'm not using a turkey credit card.
Like once a year I just turn on the vpn and then buy a bunch of giftcards to go to the end of the year and rinse and repeat.
I was paying like 20 a month before
Get a vpn I just use like holavpn its free, double check your ip to make sure its in turkey. Go to netflix and register a turkey account.

I usually buy enough for the year so like 600tl should give you 12 months of ultra hd 4 screens premium account
then you would just redeem the gift card codes (vpn on for turkey)
and voila done
