I forgot I had a Pi-hole. I think mines broke and shyt so I have to reconfigure it. The micro-sd slot is terribly sensitive to any movement which can cause it to corrupt.

Try wiping and reinstalling it. I had to once, some bug they fixed caused me to be unable to log in to change settings. Very stable now. Mine has been up uninterrupted for months.

I used to have a vpn that blocked all ads in the native youtube app. but when I got a new phone, I lost that vpn, and it no longer works.

the workaround for this is to use YT in a browser like chrome or safari with adblock on the phone, which works as well. u can do this on ipad also.

For me, I have my personal Gmail for YouTube tv. But for regular YouTube, I have a secondary Gmail I have been using. And that's the one I signed up with as it's never been billed for anything by Google.

lol that's one of the benefits though . Go to settings and choose 'background & downloads' and toggle it off under 'background play'.

Or, buy a 20 dollar Raspberry Pi, install Pi-Hole on it, and remove all ads off your whole home network.

Here's how I did it. I downloaded a free VPN (paid works fine also). But on the VPN, I set the country to Argentina, and then signed up for YT premium.

You need to use a google account that you don't currently have signed up for anything like YT tv. I have a secondary account I use for regular youtube.

So when u sign up, make sure VPN is turned on and set for argentina. Put in your credit card. google already detected I was in Argentina. you get 1 month free, and then its comes out to $119.00 ARS per month. I checked the conversion rate, and that comes out to $1.17 USD per month.

When you enter your info to sign up, you can use your real street address. Just don't enter your city or state. I used the city or buenos aires and googled buenos aires postal codes and added one of them on the list. and just like that, I got YT premium for the low low. Here's a video that explains it. He says to use India for your country, but argentina is actually cheaper. Also, once ur signed up, you should get the low rate indefinitely.

You don't need a paid VPN. I used the free one below and it worked just fine.

I believe @TradePascalSiakam explained doing something similar with netflix to get it for the low low. I already get netflix free thru a relative, so that's not relevant for me.
