Anyone interested in Youtube Premium for $1/mo?

Here's how I did it. I downloaded a free VPN (paid works fine also). But on the VPN, I set the country to Argentina, and then signed up for YT premium.

You need to use a google account that you don't currently have signed up for anything like YT tv. I have a secondary account I use for regular youtube.

So when u sign up, make sure VPN is turned on and set for argentina. Put in your credit card. google already detected I was in Argentina. you get 1 month free, and then its comes out to $119.00 ARS per month. I checked the conversion rate, and that comes out to $1.17 USD per month.

When you enter your info to sign up, you can use your real street address. Just don't enter your city or state. I used the city or buenos aires and googled buenos aires postal codes and added one of them on the list. and just like that, I got YT premium for the low low. Here's a video that explains it. He says to use India for your country, but argentina is actually cheaper. Also, once ur signed up, you should get the low rate indefinitely.

You don't need a paid VPN. I used the free one below and it worked just fine.

I believe @TradePascalSiakam explained doing something similar with netflix to get it for the low low. I already get netflix free thru a relative, so that's not relevant for me.

I was wondering tf kinda currency that was and then remembered the VPN bit. I'm currently on a 3-month YT Premium trial courtesy of Gamepass and have to admit it's a fukking gamechanger. You don't realize how aggravating and time consuming the ads are until they're gone. And I consume a lot of YouTube, especially on my phone where ad-blocking isn't an option. I already use Apple Music so the YT Music was whatever. I did check it out though and its discoverability and smart playlists are really good. Almost too good...like it's also factoring in google searches and youtube history lmao. I may keep it once the trial is up so thanks for the tip.

who u tellin? I primarily watch youtube during work cuz a lot of my podcasts are on there as well.

I was using adblockers on my macbook and could air play it thru apple tv, which blocks the ad. but having the ads blocked in the actual YT app is a game changer as u just said. but I wasn't trying to pay a full $12 a month, cuz thats ridiculous. at just over $1 a month, that's a no-brainer.

plus with premium, u can now use PIP with YT as well

as far as my phone, I was using YT thru the safari browser cuz the ads can be blocked on safari. however, that's really cumbersome IMO. the YT app is much better.

Doesn't matter. All you do is set up and install the Pi-Hole, then point all your device's DNS settings to the Pi-Hole. Wild easy. You can do it in 20 minutes. Google a guide, make sure you have everything, mad easy. I haven't seen an ad in a couple years now (except on the Xbox, their apps get ads direct, so no blocker will work). I watch YouTube on my phone or PC and never see an ad. Websites, Android apps, blocks damn near everything. Cost me 30 dollars.

Do both. You spend more time on the internet outside home? Also, you get the side benefits of slight speed and data cap improvement since the ads aren't taking up bandwidth. People don't listen, this Pi-Hole shyt is amazing. Best small tech purchase I ever made. You can install a bunch of other shyt on the Raspberry, but I don't care, I have a Shield for other shyt. If I had to somehow, I would pay 100 for a Pi-Hole now.

I watch Youtube while working out and this is some new shyt I noticed recently. It use to be 5 or 15 secs on one ad then the skip button would pop up. Now you have to watch 2 ads regardless before skipping
