Or, here's a little game for you:

Peel and Freeze a bundle of bananas, blend them up with a little Almond milk and BOOM, banana ice cream :leon:

What kind of meals did you start off with. I'm trying to come up with a meal plan to try it out for a week!

No problem. I started with lots of beans, rice, quinoa, lentils, veggies sauteed with garlic, good pasta and veggies, etc. and I've recently gotten into crock potting veggies and making my own vegan stew

Typical meal breakdown:

Breakfast - (after the gym) - a protein shake with vanilla almond milk, peanut butter, and oatmeal
or oatmeal with bananas, maple syrup, and peanut butter
or toast with fresh avocado slices, bowl of strawberries, orange juice

(I'm getting hungry just typing this :ohlawd:)

Snack - almonds, cashews, grapes, almond milk or coconut milk yogurt,

Lunch - pasta or rice with cooked veggies
my own "vegan" bowl: beans, a rice or quinoa, bell peppers, lentils

Dinner - much of the same. I found this vegan chipotle mayo so I've made sandwiches with fresh veggies, or vegan bean patties.
vegan nachos with chips, beans, guacamole, hot sliced potatoes, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce,

There are a lot of substitute foods too though so if you REALLY need a hamburger or REALLY need chicken, you can find a semi-comparable alternative. The first few weeks were the hardest and I went out with a buddy in late April and when he ordered a steak I had the :gladbron: face but other than that it's been great. After a few weeks when your system cleans itself out expect to see a change in bloat (even if you don't lose a lot of weight) and a spike in energy. I started running after work at about 3 miles in 30 minutes and now I'm at about 25 mile weeks.

maybe thats whhy i keep pooing, dairy really playing with your belly like that

I think the thing to do is switch up your diet and know where your food comes from. If you can afford to go to farmers markets, go to the butcher, a bakery, a dairymaid see if there are any food garden or farm co-ops near by.

I don't eat meat all the time (Monday I made a chickpea and potato curry with fried tofu) and I am trying to incorporate more raw food. I belive in moderation. Once I have the time I will try shop a supermarkets as little as possible.

There are places that aren't force feeding and having animals living in sqawler.

Nextflex has a documentary called Cooked and within it tells the story of how we began eating all this processed food. There is a reason due to food there are all these issues and people must switch to this diet or that diet. Quality.

But nothing wrong with being vegan or vegetarian.

Soy. All those fake meats that a lot of vegetarians eat are made from soy. Soy can be molded into anything really. I don't mess with it though because it messes with your hormone levels and causes imbalances. In women it causes them to grow facial hair and men it raises estrogen levels and in some cases cause you to grow breast and lactate if you eat it religiously. Soy isn't originally made from nature. It has been hybridize by humans and agriculture science.

You're right but Vegan =\= natural it just means no meat or any type of animal products in your diet. People are vegans/vegitriains for different reasons. Me personally it the health benefits. Other people they just don't want to hurt animals.

I want to go vegan for a month at one point this summer.

Not for any specific health or ethical reasons, just because I want to see how much variety a vegan diet really has. I know it's more than just beans and soy all day.

I'm not a vegan but I do eat about 10 vegan (strictly plant based) meals a week.

Try vegan/vegetarian spots then try some recipes at home.

Stay away from packaged heat and serve vegan meals because they are packed with sodium. Also the "faken meats" that they sell.

most people don't even like meat without seasoning so you're lying saying you like meat. no, like most black people, we tend to like flavorful dishes.

you essentially eat meat to obtain the nutrients the animal obtained through their diet... why not cut out the middle man and eat more greens/fruits? it's accurate that you can obtain all your nutrients from means other than meat/dairy. those are only two types of foods and people call you extreme when you want to leave them along like their aren't countless other edible things.

then people argue we have "canine" teeth, but a gorilla does as well and doesn't touch meat AT ALL. let that sink in, the strongest land mammals on earth don't even eat meat themselves.

this is all coming from someone who isn't completely vegan, but i can go weeks without meat, days without food. needing less = having more.
