Anyone ever deal with deep depression and contemplated suicide?

smoking a blunt makes it worse for depression because of the paranoia that comes along with it...don't do that it's a downer...and don't drink alcohol, what you need to do is start going out during the day and not only nights. Find a new hobby or some ish.

Yup, have been depressed since I was a child and attempted suicide when I was teen. Anxiety and socialphobia problems as well. Things have only improved since I started therapy and meds over the past year, and although the overwhelming feeling of depression is gone I still have quite a few social hang ups and have missed out on loads over the past two decades.

I used to deal with heavy depression less than a year ago, I was told that shyt comes and goes and will return eventually, I'm ready for that bytch nikka :birdman:

I just worked at combating the feelings. felt like shyt, worthless, whatever, do the opposite. like my nikka up there said, get hobbies, go out, talk to bytches, fight your negative feelings, don't give into them. Just stay bettering yourself somehow, even if its in the smallest way, that shyt helps. Some people can smoke when they feel like that, I wasn't one of those people. I'd start feeling like I was being complacent for smoking, I would get crazy as fukk and then all of my shytty thoughts would be there but I wouldn't be in the state of mind to be able to deal with them so i'd be :to:

Smoking weed is the last I wanna do when I'm feeling depressed. It only makes me feel worse. When Nas said "Harsh realities of life hit me after I smoke" on Favor for a Favor that was some real shyt.

Drinking on the other hand is kinda 50/50 for me. Sometimes it makes things worse but other times it helps me forget about the bullshyt and feel a lot more confident.

yea don't breh, they are both downers, you just gotta start being active throughout the day even though you may not feel like doing it. Start riding a bike or some shyt.

Its a cliche but exercise does help...for a while. But if you are properly depressed you are going to need professional help. :manny: No way around it.

Yeah I can definitely see the value in just being active and finding new activities and hobbies. I just can't seem to find anything I really wanna do/bring myself to do it. It's tough for me to break away from my daily routine and destrucive habits.

I probably could but I don't wanna go that route because ultimately I feel like I should be able to do it myself among other reasons (the negative stigmas, having that shyt on your record, etc.)

I take a look at that "I wanna visit india" thread and thank god i ain't living there. Still though, I was told I had a chemical imbalance and had to be on medication, :rudy: I took them shyts for a little while. I turned into a fukking zombie on those cac drugs. I got off those shyts with the quickness and decided I was gonna fix that shyt on my own. clinical, chronic, whatever prefix you wanna give your depression, ain't a joke, but it ain't ever the end of your world. Only weak nikkas kill themselves.

Dude, its a choice between getting therapy and getting better or not getting therapy and not getting better - trust me. :beli:

Don't get me wrong, getting therapy doesn't guarantee anything...but its by far the best way.

when i ws diagnosed with OCD i felt that low. Had the thought, but knew it wasnt a realistic thing for me, i love the people who love me too much for that.
