Anyone else notice friends dwindle the older you get?

• <15 - Personal Possessions
• 16-23 - Social status (friends)
• 24-28 - Career path decisions (college and others)
• 29-36 - Family

I've had the same 3 best friends since I was 9 years old and aint nothing really changed about our friendship since then

That's what I mean though, I think the older you get your best friends are really your only friends.

Like all those people you were kinda cool with, they fade away. Like I was in a dudes wedding party (know-it-all guy) and I literally don't give a fukk about him at this point.

Yep, at this point I probably have 3-4 friends I hang out with on the reg, and even then really only on weekends. Seems like majority of the cats I used to hang with either moved out of state or have kids and never have time to do anything.

That's life I guess.

Nah man that is all good stuff, and it hits home with me big time. This year actually is the first year I really see it all coming into focus like it has. And like I said, it's not cool, but it's just reality.

The bolded is the absolute worst, that's what really killed it for me and the know-it-all dude. He been on our softball team for years, I texted him 2-3 times the week before asking him if he's still in., dude just completely ignores the shyt. I also saw a flick alone for the first time this year, as I just couldn't deal with having to match everyone's schedules. That one might be on me I guess.

That was it, that's kid games. Just tell me like a man a yes or a no. And like you said, he was another dude attached to his phone.

Don't even get me started on trying to put together a softball team with friends I don't think I've ever been more frustrated. In the end, I ended up not playing this summer (and all my bats expire since they're changing the u-trip requirements for 2013.)

For real though, it's like the older I get...the more I would rather stay in and chill with a few friends than go out and talk to some miscellaneous motherfukkers. I hate talking to random people and making small-talk. I have a group of close friends from HS and I only ever go out with them regularly.

Lol. The team I was on last year, almost every game we'd be short 1-2 guys. Almost had to forfeit one game. Another time we played with 2 guys in the outfield, me and another dude. Should have got slaughtered but we lost by 1 run, not bad. I had no legs after that though.
But every week I'd get a txt from the captain on some "you know anyone that can play tonight"

this shyt messed up for me because when i started going to school I met people who i really had things in common with and it kind of fukked up my entire view of who your friends should be.

My other friends don't go to school and seem to be content with just working a menial job, it's like dudes have lost that ambition to be like "i wanna be ____" or " i want to be _____ in 5 years"

seems like everybody is ok with just having whatever job they have now. None of them want to go to school , and not only that none of them have a hobby/interest to even begin to choose a path to continue on in school. Seems like its getting late too, like in another 2 years they will have to basically choose to a. work a bad job, or b. go to school until u like 30 and see how that works out once you get out.
